You get hot and then you get Willowmore. Where the heat is MORE and the kudu and snakes are in great supply.
What possessed me to go on A 6km walk with one of the locals in the heat is beyond me. It’s autumn in the Southern Hemisphere but somehow even at 17H00 in my little Willow its 35 degrees Celsius. I don’t battle with asthma but 10 minutes into the walk I was already short of breath. I refuse to admit that my fitness levels have deteriorated so I’ll console myself with the fact that I was chattering away whilst power-walking-its hard work!
Willowmore is no coastal town with its breathtakingly, green-blue sea but it has beauty in its own right. One phenomenon which captivates me everyday is the fact that the sky seems so close, so close that you can almost touch it…
The sky is the limit, they say and you don’t get any closer to the limit than Willowmore.
